JEAN MELTZER

Jewish Joy LLC

Jewish Joy, LLC, registered in Virginia, began as the brainchild of international bestselling author, Jean Meltzer, who saw a non-traditional way to create a lasting Jewish community through a shared love of books that celebrate Jewish Joy. Jewish Joy, LLC serves as our umbrella organization and encompases Jewish Women Talk About Romance Books, The Jewish Joy Book Club, The Jewish Joy Box, and Jewish Joy Con (coming 2026)

The Jewish Joy Book Club

The Jewish Joy Book Club is a virtual bookclub of thousands of Jewish women reading Jewish books that focus on Jewish joy. Arranged 6-12 months in advance, and decided on through a nomination process, The Jewish Joy Book Club chooses one Jewish book a month, hosting chats and conversation around a theme, all culminating in an author-to-author live chat over Zoom.

Launched at the tail-end of 2023, the Jewish Joy Book Club has successfully celebrated a variety of Jewish romance and Jewish women’s fiction authors, including Rochelle Weinstein, Meredith Schorr, Jennifer Wilcke, Arden Joy, Sara Goodman Confino, and more. The Jewish Joy Book Club currently operates out of Facebook Groups: Jewish Women Talk About Romance Books.

The Jewish Joy Box

The Jewish Joy Box is a curated, custom box that allows recipients to create access points to their Judaism in fun and meaningful ways. Each box theme is based around a book and will include the following:

  1. a happy Jewish book that coincides with our Jewish Joy Book Club (Joy)
  2. a custom-designed or Jewish artisan item (Spirituality)
  3. a Jewish craft, activity, or cooking project that connects Jewish Joy members via social media (Community)
  4. thematically appropriate bookish or Jewish swag (Fun)

Whenever possible, we source items from Jewish artists, designers, and small businesses, and seek to create continued connections beyond the box through both online and physical spaces. We do this by providing a safe and supportive space where Jewish women, friends and allies, can gather for sisterhood and fun.

Jewish Joy Con

Imagine stepping into a one-of-a-kind space where Jewish culture, creativity, and community take center stage–a place where thousands of attendees come to celebrate everything that makes Jewish life vibrant and joyful. Jewish Joy Con, coming early spring 2026, is the first-ever event of its kind blending the excitement of fan conventions with the depth of Jewish heritage in a pluralistic celebration of Jewish life. Ticket sales will open shortly, so be sure your subscribed to our newsletter at www.jewish-joy.com so you don’t miss out.
